Things One Must Know Before Applying For Belly Dance Instructor Certification

By Edna Booker

Human as we are, we tend to develop our skills further than what are we doing or what we learned. If we put belly dancing as the case, one would dedicate herself to learn it and try to like it and make herself a professional instructor one day. With this, what things you need know before getting a certification.

But before you become an official instructor, you need to know certain things that you need do inside your class. Before you apply for belly dance instructor certification, there are certain things that can help you in this new career you have wanted and that it requires you to know them. For you to know what are these, there is a list below.

The first thing that you must to understand is that teaching is not about you but it is about your students. You must know that their safety always comes first. You must teach them the right and safe posture to perform in class and not those complex ones in which they cannot still do.

The only legacy you can give to your students as a teacher is your knowledge being shared to them. It is important that you only not know these things but you need to know them correctly and exactly the way it is. You can always explain to them what are these that you are doing together so that they can see from you the you really know what your purpose.

Committing yourself to be their instructor also means that you should also be committed to all the job that you need to do. You can make a lesson plan so you can earlier predict what are the activities you need to do and have time planning for other activities that would make everyone enjoy the craft.

It will also be nice if you can create a good and close relationship towards everyone in the class and them to you. You can have this if you want to create a very fun and good learning environment as you teach them. To start, you can give them compliments if they can perform the moves and posture well and give them rewards as they achieved a goal all together in a session.

You should also make goals for your class. This will help them become so enthusiastic to learn the craft so they can really teach, like you, someday. Giving them these goals as early as the first sessions start is the best time to set goals for them to be determined.

Though you are the instructor, it does not mean that you do not have assignments too. Remember, your job is to inform them on the things that they must to learn. In doing so, you can always help them by giving updates to yourself about the happening inside the world of this craft.

Remember, to become a great and competitive instructor you need to have a lot of experience with the art. You need also communicate properly to them to avoid misinformation. You need always remember that you are not perfect, you are meant to make your flaws and make sure you correct everything.
