Can Organic Olive Oil Help To Better Salad?

By Katie Onson

When it comes to the most common salad dressings, I am sure that there are many names that will spring out. Everything from Thousand Island to Italian may come to mind but it's apparent that many health gurus steer clear of such items. This poses the question: is there a different alternative that can be used in order to grant salad a greater slew of benefits? This is where organic olive oil can come into play and the benefits, to put it simply, are stunning.

According to a report published on the Telegraph, salad decorated with organic olive oil can pose a number of benefits. Reputable authorities the likes of Bellucci Premium can tell you about how one's heart health can be made better if this type of oil is taken into the body. What about the presence of good fats, in this oil, that can work with the body in order to limit the amounts of negative fats and cholesterol? While these are some of the more common benefits, one of the lesser-known ones is actually tied to air pollution.

In order to reduce the impact of air pollution to the hart, according to the report, one should take it upon him or herself to consume two thirds of a teaspoon of organic olive oil a day. This is especially true when air pollution is a case that affects more than just humans; animals and plant life can also suffer. Some of the common short-term affects of air pollution include throat irritation. However, if you want to talk about long-term implications, cases can be as serious as brain damage.

Which sources of air pollution are the most troublesome, you may wonder? Let's say that you are looking to work on your car; the running motor you may be exposed to can cause air pollution on a smaller scale. The burning of fossil fuels can create this as well, so it's important to note the most common locations of this, factories and office buildings included. You can reduce the impact that this can have on you; it's just a matter of how much you're willing to change your diet.

Hopefully these points will be able to help you better understand why it's important to take in organic olive oil. It can be argued that the oil itself can be taken into the body on its own without any other foods. However, from what I have seen, many people prefer this type of oil when it is utilized as more of an accent than a standalone food product. Whatever the case may be, the various benefits of this products are tough to overlook.
