Some Things About The Best Beard Balm

By Enid Hinton

Although both oils and balms can be very useful, they aren't the same thing. When choosing the best beard balm, you expect it to nourish and shape your facial hair, hold it and make it look thicker and more appealing. It is always better to choose products that are based on all natural ingredients, because they have all that you need and don't cause ski irritation.

Oils aren't suppose to shape or hold, they are designed to moisturize and nourish at first place. They will prevent the new hair itch, nourish both hairs and skin and improve the appearance. Good ones are based on all natural ingredients, and argan oil and jojoba oil are probably the best natural oils used for this particular purpose.

When it comes to different balms, some may contain synthetic sealants, for example petroleum jelly. Similar sealants may damage your facial hair and irritate your skin, causing different problems. Shea butter is really effective natural sealant that will make your beard appear thicker and help you shaping it. Natural sealants such as beeswax are also a very good choice for this particular purpose.

Jojoba and argan oil are very good natural moisturizers. Make sure your balm contains similar ingredients. Without a good moisturizer, facial hair may lose its softness and become fragile, dry and brittle. For the best results, balms should be applied on freshly washed, dry hair and skin, to nourish the roots as well, and allow healthy growth. Massage it in well, starting on your neck, and don't forget to rub it on your skin as well.

Another difference between products containing synthetic and natural ingredients is that you don't have to rinse off the natural ones. They are designed to be left in until you wash your beard. Synthetic ones should be removed nightly, because they might cause damages if left in. It is always better choice to use natural products. In fact, you can combine good quality organic oils and balms to get even better results.

Good quality organic products will soften coarse or rogue hair and help you achieve desired results. They will also promote healthy growth and reduce itchiness. Without any synthetic fragrances or additives, they are perfectly healthy and don't cause any irritations. That makes them skin friendly and perfectly safe to use. In short, combining good products is the best choice.

Warm and light scent of pomades based on Shea butter, beeswax and similar ingredients is especially appealing. With jojoba or argan oils added for moisturizing, these products penetrate deeply into the skin, promoting faster and healthier growth and preventing breakage. At the same time, they provide the desired shape and hold it throughout the day. The same product can usually be used on your mustaches and hair as well.

Wash your facial hair maybe once or twice every week. When it is dry, apply a little bit of your favorite natural balm and massage it gently in. Don't forget to apply it on your skin as well. If you choose good quality products, you will have thick and healthy beard, well shaped and nourished.
