If you are serious about losing weight, exercise need to be a part of your plan. Although it should be a major part of losing weight many people try to get by without exercise because they want to take the easy way out or they just do not know the best exercise to lose weight for them.

The question for many becomes is there a best exercise to lose weight? It can depend on a variety of factors.

There are a hundreds of different exercises that will work for weight loss but three popular ones are:

Walking

If you are struggling with developing an exercise routine to go along with your weight loss plan, start with something simple like walking.

Walking while not as high impact as some other exercises can still help you lose weight and get in shape.

Walking allows you to progress at your own pace. Start with whats comfortable for you and gradually pick up the pace and distance.

Not only does walking aid in weight loss it can also help improve your health by lowering cholesterol and reducing your risk of heart disease.

Aerobic Dance

Aerobic dance workouts like zumba, taebo, hip hop abs and rockin body are fun and effective ways to lose pounds and inches. Depending on the level of intensity, these workouts can burn up to a thousand calories per hour.

Engaging in aerobic dance routines on a consistent basis will help improve your cardiovascular health, improve blood pressure and increase mental alertness.

When using aerobics as part of an exercise routine you should target at least thirty minutes per session three days or more per week.

Swimming Laps

Taking a few laps in a pool is a great way to lose weight and tone your body.

Swimming works a wide range of muscles in the upper and lower body which makes it an ideal exercise for weight loss and health.

If you combine healthy eating habits with swimming you will soon begin to notice dramatic positive improvements in your body.

Regardless of what exercise you decide to do, it is always important to begin with a warm up routine and end with a cool down session.

The key to losing weight and getting fit is to stop procrastinating and get started. Using either one or a combination of these three exercises will put you on the path to a slimmer and healthier you.

At the end of the day only you can determine the best exercise to lose weight. Do something that challenges you but you enjoy enough to stick with long term.
